Oil life & reset procedures
Engine oil life system reset
Before you start
- Reset the system whenever the engine oil is changed so that the system can calculate the next engine oil change.
Steps
- Display OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC.
- Press and hold the SET/RESET button on the DIC for more than five seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
- Pull out the filter.
- Inspect or replace the engine air cleaner/filter.
- Lower the filter cover housing toward the engine.
- Fasten the clips on the top of the housing to lock the cover in place.
You’ll know it worked: The oil life will change to 100%.
Operating the engine with the air cleaner/filter off can cause you or others to be burned.
when working on the engine and do not drive with the air cleaner/filter off.

Where to find it
Engine Compartment Fuse Block The engine compartment fuse block is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, by the battery.
Instrument Panel Fuse Block
Where to find it
Instrument Panel Fuse Block The fuse block is on the passenger side of the vehicle in the carpet molding.
Remove the fuse block door to access the fuses.
