We recommend you use Mopar® API SP/GF-6A Certified SAE 5W-30 Full Synthetic Engine Oil which meets the requirements of the manufacturer Material Standard MS-13340. Equivalent full synthetic SAE 5W-30 engine oil can be used if it meets API SP/GF-6A Certification. If API SP/GF-6A or equivalent oil is unavailable then please contact a local dealership for recommendation.

Before you start

  • Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode (do not start the engine).

Steps

  1. Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode (do not start the engine).
  2. Navigate to "Oil Life" submenu in "Vehicle Info" in the instrument cluster display.
  3. Push and hold the OK button until the gauge resets to 100%.

Before you start

  • Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).

Steps

  1. Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).
  2. Fully press the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times within ten seconds.
  3. Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the OFF position.

If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset.
