Oil life & reset procedures

Engine oil life system reset

Before you start

  • Reset the system whenever the engine oil is changed so that the system can calculate the next engine oil change.
  • with the engine off.

Steps

  1. Display the REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC. See Driver Information Center (DIC) (Base Level) 0 132 or Driver Information Center (DIC) (Uplevel) 0 135.
  2. Press and hold SET/CLR on the turn signal lever while the Oil Life display is active. The oil life will change to 100%.

You’ll know it worked: The oil life will change to 100%.

Use of the incorrect automatic transmission fluid may damage the vehicle, and the damage may not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
