Before you start

  • With the engine off, turn the ignition key to ON/RUN.

Steps

  1. With the engine off, turn the ignition key to ON/RUN.
  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
  3. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF, then start the vehicle.

Operating the engine with the air cleaner/filter off can cause you or others to be burned.
