Engine oil life system reset

Before you start

  • Reset the system whenever the engine oil is changed so that the system can calculate the next engine oil change.
  • with the engine off.

Steps

  1. Using the DIC MENU button, display OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC. See Driver Information Center (DIC) on page 5‑27 and Engine Oil Messages on page 5‑35.
  2. Press the Set/Reset button and hold for two seconds to clear the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message and reset the oil life at 100%.

You’ll know it worked: If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is not on, the system is reset.
