Engine oil life system reset

Before you start

  • Reset the system whenever the engine oil is changed so that the system can calculate the next engine oil change.
  • Turn the ignition to ON/RUN with the engine off.

Steps

  1. Turn the ignition to ON/RUN with the engine off.
  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds.

You’ll know it worked: The system is reset when the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message goes off.

Engine Compartment Fuse Block (CTS V Wagon) The underhood fuse block is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Lift the fuse block cover to access the fuses.
