50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and use only DEX-COOL Coolant. See Engine Coolant on page 10-19.

Use only engine oil licensed to the dexos1 specification of the proper SAE viscosity grade. ACDelco dexos1 Synthetic Blend is recommended. See Engine Oil on page 10-11.

Maintenance schedule
Normal service schedule
Use this for ordinary driving.

Use this if you tow, idle a lot, drive short trips in the cold, or run in dust.

Oil life & reset procedures
Engine oil life system reset
Before you start
- Reset the system whenever the engine oil is changed so that the system can calculate the next engine oil change.
Steps
- Using the DIC controls on the right side of the steering wheel, display REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC. See Driver Information Center (DIC) on page 5-27. When remaining oil life is low, the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will appear on the display. See Engine Oil Messages on page 5-37.
- Press V on the DIC controls and hold down for a few seconds to clear the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message and reset the oil life at 100%.
- Electrical Connector
You’ll know it worked: The system is reset when the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is off.
