Secondary Method Of Resetting Engine Oil Life

Applies to: Secondary Method Of Resetting Engine Oil Life

Before you start

  • Without pressing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button and place the ignition to the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).

Steps

  1. Without pressing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button and place the ignition to the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).
  2. Fully press the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times within 10 seconds.
  3. Without pushing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button once to return the ignition to the OFF position.

You’ll know it worked: If conditions are met, the gauge and numeric display will update to show 100%.

If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset.

Where to find it

A - 15 Amp Blue BCP Low Temp Active Pump * F105B LTR Coolant Pump PECP - 2 * UNDERHOOD FUSES - HYBRID The Power Distribution Center (PDC) is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, behind the headlamp.

A description of each fuse and component may be stamped on the inside cover, otherwise the cavity number of each fuse is stamped on the inside cover that corresponds to the following chart.
